Blogging Revelations

Journal

Have you ever had a moment of realization that things in your life aren’t what you thought they would be?

Was it a good thing or were you holding onto regrets? If you had asked me 5 years ago, or 10 years ago, ‘Where will you be in a decades time?’, I would not have been able to tell you a prediction even close to the life I’m currently living. I have four kids! I’m a stay at home mom! I’m raising chickens! I’m homeschooling! I just spent a year in quarantine! Who am I?

Don’t let this thought process shock you, I’m more happy today than I could have hoped or imagined. I have enjoyed the ups and downs. I have found beauty in the mundane and reveled in bringing traditions back to my life and family. One revelation was nagging me though, if I had kept blogging when I had started over 10 years ago, I would have blogged for years and maybe even found success with it.

Why is it that I start and stop projects? Why is it that a second guess myself and quit before I’ve hardly begun? I’m going to try to get the answers to these questions. I’m going to try to establish some new routines and habits, working toward consistency and success.

I’m going to blog. I’m going to devote time and energy to my passion projects. I’m going to struggle through to completion. I’m not going to look back in 10 years and wonder why I didn’t keep up with it. Are you with me?
